How to install Acronis Agent on Windows Server

OVERVIEW

This guide covers the full installation and registration process for the Acronis Agent on a Windows Server environment.

Note: Once you have ordered the backup services, you will receive an activation email. You must use this to activate your Acronis account before proceeding.

1. Log in to the Acronis portal

Log in to the Acronis portal using your login username, and click the Continue button.

Enter your password and click the Sign In button.

2. Download the Acronis agent

Click on the Profile Icon >> Select Download "Agent for Windows.exe".

3. Run the Installation Wizard

Run the file: Agent for CyberProtect_AgentForWindows_web.exe

The setup wizard is launched. Click on the Install button to begin the process.

Wait until the installation completes and the registration screen appears. To link the agent to your portal:

Click Show registration info. The setup program shows the registration link and the registration code. You can copy them to perform registration. Note: The code is valid for one hour.



4. Registration Steps in Console

  • On the Acronis Management Console’s landing page, click the Add button located on the top right side.
  • Search for the "Registration via code" option.

Click on the REGISTER button, paste the registration code from your installer, and click Confirm Registration.



5. Finalize Workload & Backup Plan

Now that the Agent is installed, the computer is available in the Cyber Protection console. To finish:

Click Apply to register the workload to the server.

Once the server is added to the Acronis portal, the final step is to set up a Backup Plan to start protecting your data.



Installation Successful! Your server is now ready for scheduled backups.
